Members cannot receive 'Philanthropy Hours' for donating items to a philanthropy.
If an item is donated, the dollar value of that item should be recorded on the Donation in Kind page of the member website.
If a member performs an activity with those donated items, they can record both entries:
Dollar value of item donated on the Donation in Kind page.
Philanthropy Hours served on the Enter Hours tool.
For example, if a member prepares a meal for people of a philanthropy where the grocery items are purchased and the meal is prepared. the member can log the value of the grocery items on the Donations in Kind page and the time spent preparing the meal on the Enter Hours page.
Admins can run the 'Donations - Donations in Kind' report in the Query Tool to ascertain the amount of financial support the chapter is providing to the community for any given time period
